Caffitaly began in 2004 in Gaggio Montano, in the province of Bologna. Its early work focused on coffee capsules and the growing single-serve market.
In 2005, the Caffitaly System brought together patented capsule technology and purpose-built machines. Rather than treating the capsule and brewer as separate products, the brand developed them as parts of the same brewing experience.
Its history continued through expanded production, the development of professional machines in 2016 and capsule-recognition Smart machines in 2018. That progression connects a practical everyday ritual with ongoing work in beverage technology.
